Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day! I want to acknowledge all the moms out there and thank you for being apart of my faithful audience. This podcast is dedicated wholeheartedly, to all the mothers out there. During this time of the year, people everywhere are celebrating one of the most precious holiday that I like to call the birth of life. Some of you are probably wondering where this holiday originated. Have no fear, your friend Kedler got your back. Just to give you a little history, around the world, this holiday is celebrated on different dates. This idea of appreciation first started with the ancient Greeks and Romans and was later embraced as Mother's Day by the early Christians. The Christians celebrated it as Mothering Sunday. In the United States, Mother’s Day 2020 occurs on Sunday, May 10. In Haiti, it's observed on the last Sunday of May, the 31st. Did you know that more phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year? Knowledge is power guys! This is just another example of how important it's to cherish your mother. I wish I could call my mother and grandmother just one more time to tell them happy Mother’s Day and that I love them so much.
Are you next to your mother right now or another mother? Well just tell her Happy Mother's Day! Do you know a mother? Send this podcast to any mother around the world that you know as a gift for all the hard work she has done. She will love it. My mother Dilene passed away in August 2011. My grandmother, Dieumercie, who raised me passed away just 4 days after my birthday last year. These two unfortunate occasions brought so much hurt and unforgettable memories all at the time and especially around this time of the year. I know I am not alone as some of you listening might have lost your mother too. Let's all remember the love that these moms poured into our lives. I knew they were proud of us and smiled their blessings over us when we were growing up. Remember guys, love never dies. Mothers are very special. They deserve all the love and respect no matter their social or economic rank. Men! Respect the mother of your children, even if you don't get along. Tell them you are sorry when you are being ungrateful towards them. The pain of birth is unbearable and could cause her to lose her life but she found joy in giving birth for you. Your mom finds joy in giving birth to you. See the connection? A mother is a mother!
Make your mother feels special today like any other day as well. That's why it's important guys that we make sure we buy her a card, give her some chocolate, give her a monetary gift. Honestly, the best is just to spend quality time with your one and only mother to show just how much you acknowledge her and that you care. I don't have enough words to thank my mom for the life she gave me. In another series, I will cover the gratitude of a mother figure in a child's life. That woman can be a sister or auntie, she just needs to be someone who does not have any children but that didn't stop her from caring for someone's else child. Thank these women as well during this holiday. And honestly, Mother’s Day should be every day because tomorrow is not promised. I would like to again personally thank ALL the mothers out there. A special shout out to the mother of my son, KJ. We are going to end this podcast by a song from the Boyz 2 Men - A Song For Mama Boyz 2 Men - A Song For Mama 2011 NEW!!!!! Happy Mother's Day to every mother out there! We love you! Until next time your friend, mentor, and brother. Kedler
