Love
Bonjour guys! It's Kedler from KedlerAbelard.com. I hope everyone is having a great day given the circumstances. Today I want to talk about the "L" word. Yes..... Love. For centuries we as humans have told one another "I love you" but what exactly do we mean when we say that? It flows from our mouths so elegantly yet do our actions reflect the same? So like any other millennial, I googled the definition of love. The result that popped up first is an intense feeling of deep affection. Woah. That sounded too generic for me. I have a deep affection for my siblings, parents, close friends and top of the list my handsome son.
It was then I realized I didn't ask the right question. Instead of looking at the definition of love, I decided to look up the definition of in love: A strong feeling of affection and concern toward another person, as that arising from kinship or close friendship." It was at that moment I realized that the internet didn't know what love is and couldn't tell me. Love is something we all have to look within ourselves to find. In our relationship podcast segments, we will be discussing everything from love to lust, infatuation, soulmates, etc. Just an open dialogue while opening our hearts.
I say all this to say, if you don't love yourself first, you can't love others. So I Kedler challenge all of you to love yourselves and see the greatness you possess that everyone else sees. Until next time your friend, mentor, and brother.
